What Did My Great Grandma Have To Do With Affiliate Marketing?

According to what my grandfather told my mother and my mother told me, Mathilda, almost single-handedly, discovered one of the richest gold mines in Sierra Nevada. My mother also told me that Mathilda engaged in a forbidden love affair with an older and married man, who subsequently fathered my great grandfather. But this is a different story altogether.
I’m sure you understand by now that Mathilda was an exceptional woman. The enormous fortune she had obtained in 1852 in California, was totally lost by her grandson, my grandfather, in 1929 in New York, when the stock market crashed. Fortunately, she had died 9 years earlier and was spared the disaster.

An estimated 300,000 people, man, women and children, went to California in the middle of the 19th century, in search of fortunes. Only few of them discovered gold and became rich. My great grandmother, Mathilda, was amongst them. She left us a great legacy: “He who dares - conquers.”
